the campaign for ukraine
"In a landscape where many organisations have scaled back, the charity HopeFull has sustained frontline presence throughout the war in Ukraine, which is nothing short of extraordinary. Their work, delivering hot meals under Russian shelling, rescuing traumatised animals from bombed-out shelters and building peer led mental health support for veterans represents a rare but successful and vital thread of unwavering humanity.
I was so deeply impressed by their courage and impact that I felt a professional and personal drive to document their mission, ensuring the world sees and supports this crucial work."

Through The Lens Of Victory
A Decade Capturing Aston Martin’s Racing Heartbeat.
For ten years, Simon wasn’t just a film maker for Aston Martin Racing he was a visual historian embedded within the roar of ambition. His assignment, to translate the raw, mechanical poetry of the worlds most beautiful racing cars into compelling cinema. The result was 26 films that charted a dramatic decade of evolution, risk and glory.
It began on the hallowed tarmac of Le Castellet, under the fierce Mediterranean sun, the circuit also known as Paul Richard. The subject: The formidable V12 LMP1 prototypes . “The sound was the first signature,” he recalls. “Capturing that V12 scream in the mid-day heat set the tone, this was about baptism by fire and decibels , establishing a partnership that would race across Europe’s most iconic circuits.
“Your first day filming Aston Martin racing cars isn’t a job, it's an assault. The smell of hot brakes and fuel, the physical power and roar of a V12, my camera had to feel that. Working amongst the engineers in the pit-lane I’d frame the shot while my body became a steadi-cam.”
The Nurburgring - Nordshlieffe, would become a recurring, almost spiritual setting. There was a tense rehearsal of the road-going V8 and V12 Vantages, predators being introduced into their their natural habitat. Then the legendary 24 hrs where the snarling V12 Zagato battled the Green Hell.
On the Nurburgring - “The Ring is two places. For the team, its a spreadsheet of apexes and lap times. For me, it’s the light. That low, Germanic haze through the forest at 7am, or the way a silver DB5 looks from a helicopter against the green Hell’s brutality during the Centenary. You’re chasing ghosts and history with every panning shot.
“The Centenary” he states with a smile evident in his voice. “One hundred Aston Martin’s, a river of the company’s history flowing through the Nordshlieffe. Then, a ripple of surprise as Danial Craig, effortlessly cool, slid into a silver Birch DB5. The fans reaction was pure electricity. It was no longer just a test track, it was a stage for heritage.
Yet, for sheer impact, few projects matched the V12 GT3's track test at Brands Hatch. The film, a symphony of aggression and agility was unleashed online. "We were stunned," he admits. "In excess of 100,000 views within 24 hours. It confirmed we were tapping into a global community of passion. The car wasn't just racing, it was performing."
"I knew the GT3promo film was good, but 100,00 views in 24hrs? That was the moment the fans leaned in and said 'Turn it up.' It validated everything, the late nights editing, the frozen fingers at testing. I wasn't just making an advert, I was feeding the fans a new obsession.
Performance took a revolutionary turn working with hydrogen experts Alset Global with the top secret V12 hybrid hydrogen Rapide project codenamed 'Project H'. His documentary followed the special operations team over 5 months as they forged a ground breaking prototype. This wasn't a silent fuel - cell vehicle, it was a twin turbo 6.0litre V12 race car that could burn hydrogen, petrol, or a blend, achieving zero CO2 emissions on pure hydrogen laps. "Filming that was like capturing the future whispering," he says. "The engineering was audacious. We were showing sustainable performance that still had thunder at its heart."
"Project H was an important secret for the firm. Filming it felt like heresy. Here was this 4 door, traditional V12 monster, but its exhaust was just... vapour, zero CO2. The challenge was making a silent revolution for the future look and sound as thrilling as the past."
Contrast that with the secretive, dust blown trials of the V8 Vantage GTE at the remote Guadix circuit in Spain's Sierra Nevada."That was a raw development. No crowds, just the team of engineers, the drivers and the data. My job was to find the narrative in the isolation and the relentless pursuit of milliseconds."
Behind these machines were the visionaries who greenlit the projects. Simon worked under the stewardship of two CEO's, the meticulous Dr Ulrich Bez, the driven Dr Andy Palmer CMG. The strategic racing direction came from Prodrive Chairman David Richards CBE, while the operational genius often flowed from David King, Vice President and Chief Special Operations Officer. "They each had a different lens," the film maker reflects. "Bez was the philophoser, king of the cars soul, Palmer the ambitious architect of its future. David was the master of making the impossible happen. My camera had to speak all their languages.
From the first LMP1 wail at Paul Ricard to the Hydrogen powered whisper of the V12 Rapide at Nurburgring, this decade wasabout framing more than victories. It was about capturing a marques relentless drive to beautify performance, honor its past and fearlessly engineer its future, one unforgettable frame at a time.

Television series: Mums The Word
At its heart, Mums The Word is an inspiring, high-stakes docu-series celebrating resilience, motherhood, and the life-changing power of action.
For decades, television has been more than just entertainment; it has been a cultural mirror and a blueprint for life. It has shown us who we are and, crucially, who we can be. When it comes to the portrayal of women, this power is immense. Writing more television programs to empower women is not a niche interest; it is an essential act of cultural evolution.
Empowering narratives do more than just place a woman at the center of the story. They move her from being an object of the plot to being its subject. She is no longer just the wife, the girlfriend, or the victim, but the brilliant surgeon, the flawed CEO, the reluctant hero, the cunning politician, or the quiet artist. These stories showcase women as the architects of their own destinies, grappling with complex moral choices, driving the action, and succeeding or failing on their own terms.
The impact is twofold. For young girls, seeing these reflections on screen is transformative. It expands their imagination of the possible, whispering, "You can be that too." It builds self-worth that is not tied to appearance or romance, but to competence, resilience, and intelligence. For the wider audience, it normalizes female authority, ambition, and complexity. It challenges ingrained stereotypes by presenting a multitude of ways to be a woman, thereby fostering empathy and dismantling prejudice one episode at a time.
Ultimately, to write a television program that empowers women is to invest in a more equitable reality. It is to use one of our most powerful storytelling mediums not merely to reflect a better world, but to actively build it, by showing us what it looks like.
