Simon OG – Founder, OG Media Works
"Big Stories. Small Footprint. Global Reach."
I'm incredibly proud of what we've built at OG Media Works. With over 25 years in the media industry, we've gained not only deep experience, but also the resilience and versatility to deliver exceptional work — often in challenging, remote, or unconventional locations where larger crews might hesitate to go.
Being a small, agile company has become one of our greatest strengths. We operate lean without compromising quality, giving our clients premium results without the premium price tag. Our team is made up of dedicated specialists who are passionate about telling real stories with cinematic flair.
Now, as we step into our next chapter — television production — we're excited to expand our vision and take on new creative challenges. It’s always been part of the plan, and the future is looking bold.
Let’s tell stories that matter — together.
News corporations, Network Channels, Racing Teams, Motorsport Events, Religious organisations, Ministry of Defence, Army.
We have provided footage for BBC news bulletins.
Our footage has appeared in the National Geographic series Megafactories.
Motorsport footage we produced for Aston Martin has featured on the Top Gear program.
The presence of the Catholic Church in East Africa was the subject of a reactive media campaign headed by OG Media Works over three years.
We have made 26 promotion films over 12 years for the iconic sports car manufacturer, including a documentary following the design and build of the V12 Rapide to race on Hydrogen at Nurburgring 24H.
We also filmed the Aston Martin Centenary promotion film which inluded Daniel Craig driving an Aston Martin DB5.
Our films supported the company and helped increase sales of road and race cars through some very dark financial times.
Simon O'G worked as a civilian within the re-formed Brigade as a member of the 'Information Warfare Team' and 'Project Hemingway'.
Simon was involved in the non-kinetic action against the radicalisation and recruitment drive by Daesh / ISIS of British youngsters to leave the country and join the newly formed Caliphate in Syria.
He wrote three treatments focussing on anti-terrorism, one of which was published by the Ministry of Defence.
It’s hard to believe, but in the 21st century, human slavery is still a grim reality.
We’ve been on the front lines of investigations aimed at exposing and dismantling child slavery networks in Uganda, Zambia, and Kyrgyzstan. These are not just stories of exploitation — they are the lived nightmares of children robbed of their freedom and future.
The fight is far from over. Ruthless trafficking gangs continue to operate in the shadows, but so do we — pushing back with relentless resolve, uncovering the truth, and working with local partners to bring justice to the victims and those who exploit them.
Modern-day slavery hides in plain sight. We’re here to shine a light on it — and to help end it.
For more than ten years, we've been on the ground documenting the evolving realities across Israel, Gaza, Syria, and the Sinai. In a region where conflict is constant, one battle rages louder than all others — the war over truth.
Misinformation and misrepresentation have long shaped public perception, often distorting the complex realities faced by those living through these crises. Today, the most powerful weapon in the Middle East isn’t a missile or drone — it’s the manipulation of narrative.
Our mission has always been clear: to cut through the noise, challenge distortions, and present the human truth behind the headlines
In 2015, the British Army launched a groundbreaking recruitment campaign aimed at tapping into a new kind of talent — civilians with creative, technical, and media skills not traditionally found within military ranks. It was this call to service that caught the attention of Simon O’G, an experienced cameraman with a passion for impactful media campaigns.
Despite being above the usual age threshold, Simon was granted a waiver and successfully passed the rigorous selection process for the British Army’s 77th Brigade. He was offered a commission as a Specialist Reservist Officer – Captain, assigned to 5 Column in a highly technical, deployable media role.
However, during the extended recruitment phase, Simon received an offer to work with the Vatican on a long-term project in East Africa — a mission that would span three years. Even while working abroad, Simon remained closely connected to 77th Brigade, contributing his expertise on a civilian basis in one of the most critical areas of modern warfare: counterterrorism communications.
At a time when Daesh (ISIS) was successfully radicalising British youth through slick, targeted online propaganda, Simon played a key role in crafting a media response. He developed three content strategies for the Information Warfare Team, one of which was formally adopted and deployed by the Ministry of Defence. He also served as a contributor to the highly confidential Project Hemingway.
Simon's unique blend of creativity and operational insight proved vital in the fight against extremist messaging, helping to disrupt recruitment pipelines and protect vulnerable communities at home.
